Luthier built H44 copy using some original parts. The Orpheum neck was built by the Harmony company in the 1950-60’s. The pickup is an original Harmony from a H44 Stratotone. The tailpiece is original Harmony. New pots were spec’d to original values, the bridge is new as is the pickguard. Body is Honduras Mahogany Finished in Currant red metal flake thin finish. Strung with flat wound strings for slide playing. The action is typical for this type of guitar not the lowest but can still be played all over the neck. There are a couple of spots high on the neck on the lower strings last four frets that need to be looked at to address a few notes fretting out. Intonation is good and it sounds like an old Stratotone should nasty, gritty ballsy when cranked up. It’s a 1/3 less than a actual Harmony H44 but captures the mojo
