1946 Epiphone De Luxe archtop guitar with original purple lined hard brown case and period correct De Armond Rhythm Chief 1000 guitar microphone with boost, volume and tone controls that work well.  The guitar also has been ported for a 1/4 jack through the end pin.
The pickup is mounted in a new bound pick guard.
The casing around the pickup cable is cracking but functions correctly.
The guitar is a well preserved piece of history with no breaks or repairs.
The bridge is original and has the matching serial number stamped on the bottom of the lower foot.
The Frequensator tail piece is also original but has been brazed back together as is often the case with these.
The 17" top features single ply bound f-holes, 5 ply bound back top and back and a double bound five ply neck with cloud inlay fret markers.
The headstock features the lovely and traditional floral inlay with 3 ply binding and the original Epiphone tulip tuners.
There is finish checking all over the entire instrument.
The neck angle is correct and flat and plays cleanly all the way up the neck with the action being 4 mm on the bass side at the 12th fret and 3 mm on the treble side.
The latches are all present on the case and it functions well.
48 hour approval on all guitars and amps.
