The Mightiest Munchkin of Them All Wildwoodians, we are proud to present our latest collaboration with the master luthiers at the Martin Custom Shop: the Munchkin. While visiting the Custom Shop earlier this year, our acoustic expert Brian saw a strange-looking guitar body lying on a bench. Upon closer examination, he realized that it was a vintage body from an old tenor guitar. The wheels started turning. The shape looked awfully comfortable to play, so he picked it up and asked our friends at Martin to make Wildwood a couple of six-string versions. They were kind enough to indulge us, and we could not be more pleased with the resulting guitar: the Custom Shop Martin Munchkin.

The Martin Munchkin's small body is quite comfortable to sit with, and its 24.84" scale makes for gloriously slinky handfeel. So, it's the perfect companion for a porch or couch picking session. Perhaps the only thing more addictive than its feel is its sound. It has an Engelmann spruce top, which makes for a remarkably dynamic playing experience. Engelmann spruce sounds quite open, and it presents a rich bouquet of harmonic overtones. It also really speaks when played softly, and it sounds lush and sparkly when you dig in and strum.

This particular model pairs that Engelmann top with gorgeous mahogany back and sides. Engelmann and mahogany are a match made in heaven.

Anyone searching for a Martin unlike any other will quickly find themselves charmed by this handsome little devil!
