The Atlas is ultra light, sounds great and is a joy to play. Its design was a Nechville-Sagmoen collaboration and echos the Ashborn Banjos of the 1860s. Modern Nechville innovations make the Atlas the most advanced traditional openback to date.
Like the standard version, it has a walnut neck with ebony fretboard on a 12" diameter walnut block-style rim with an exotic wood cap tone ring. However, this deluxe version has a radiused fretboard and comes in a hardshell case. The top edge of the fretboard is scooped above 16th fret for good thumb access.
It is a banjo that captures authentic open-back tone with perfect playability, precise intonation, and limitless flexibility. It has some traces of use and playwear and a Fishman pickup has been installed. In very good condition and comes in a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
