Macmull  Superlight Stinger

Macmull guitars are completely handmade by a duo of passionate and talented luthiers who stop at nothing to produce the most exquisite (both visually and audibly) guitars possible. Each and every guitar Macmull produce is unique, due to their RVT (Real Vintage Tone) approach, which is an extensive process of matching the neck and body wood, hand-voicing each individual pickup to showcase the true nature of the guitar, and selecting the best electronic components to compliment each instrument.

The results quite frankly are astounding; delivering guitars with resonance, definition, and incredible balance and string clarity.

The Stinger is the first guitar that Macmull have deigned from start to finish to create a totally unique and individual guitar quite unlike any other.

There are some aspects of familiarity but the guitar as a whole is actually totally unique both in tone and visually. They set out to build a guitar from scratch that looked as good as it sounds and brings something modern fresh and exciting to the guitar world

This guitar is a players dream - carrying the ‘Superlight’ tag that means that only the lightest, finest and most resonant woods have been carefully selected to build the guitar means that it is super easy to play and handle. But don’t confuse that with a lack of tone or impact - with the hand wound P90s and specially designed and selected crafted parts this guitar can hold its own whatever the music you want to play - it’s as at home with the Blues as it is playing full on Metal yet it’s versatility doesn’t mean it is bland in any way at all; the sound is distinctive, full bodied and the sustain goes on for ever. The hand wound coils produce a fabulous mid range coupled with a huge bottom end giving old tunes new life as you pick up the guitar. And once you pick it up it’s pretty much impossible to put down - what a treat this beauty is and it is only to be found here at Art of Guitar.

A final word on the visual impact of this guitar - the super thin nitro cellulose Aztec gold coating is perfection in itself allowing the grain of the hand selected wood to be seen through the coating but not dulling the dazzling impact of the overall colour.
