Very Rare - Parker P44V

It’s very difficult to explain the Parker P44V guitar without someone first experiencing it first hand as it is capable of so much. First, there is the look of it; it’s almost otherworldly and alien but at the same time it is very down to earth and practical. 

Secondly, the build quality is stellar. The tremolo system has ballbearings and comes directly down to this guitar from Parker’s higher end guitars like the famous Parker Fly. It is the best tremolo I have ever used, 90% of my guitars with tremolos are blocked and disabled, but this one is perfect. And the amazing thing is the whole tremolo assembly can be raised and lowered with just an allen key to adjust the string action! 

Two Stinger Parker made humbuckers with coil tap and a Fishman bridge Piezo in stereo! Just take a look at the detail of the cover plates, they are recessed into the body and are flush, very clean. Also take a look at how the neck is fastened at the body. There are grommets set into the body where the neck screws pass and anchor. It looks like a guitar that you need to stand up to play but it again is extremely comfortable to sit down and play, it actually forms to your leg and anchors in place. It is obvious that a lot of thought went into this guitar. 

The condition is excellent, some very light pick marks and swirls; many on Reverb would say that this is in mint condition. The guitar weighs around 7 pounds and comes with one of the nicest heavily padded soft cases I have seen; Parker Guitars is even stitched monogrammed onto it. These are very hard to find and sought after. If you have always wanted a Parker, this is a great one to start out with. This model was priced on Parker’s 2008 price sheet at $999.
