Beyerdynamic TG-X 50 1996 Black Vintage

Vintage Beyerdynamic TG-X 50 microphone - hypercardioid. Large diaphram dynamic microphone intended for use on kick drum and other low frequency instruments. Made in Germany.  There is a hum-compensation coil built into the capsule itself. This mic is built into the case of the legendary Beyerdynamic M 380. This gives it a very stoic look. This mic was used mostly for live performences, inside the kick drum, but has been used for some recordings over the decades that I have owned it. It provides a very natural and honest sound for kick drum and has an amazing transient response. It produces a very dimensional image. It shines in allowing your kick drum to sound big, natural and present. In most settings, I gave it a boost at 80 Hz. It is in Very Good + condition, it does have a slight wear mark on the paint on the front. This wear mark does not go all the way through the paint to the metal casing. There is also normal wear at point where the mic makes contact with the mic cable.

This is a very reliable microphone that is built to last.
