Solid guitar - refin done years ago and could use a new / better one. Neck / heel joint is strong. Frets need cleaning but in good shape. Binding unoriginal and possibly has a replaced fingerboard years ago as well, but the bones are there for a great guitar with some work. Truss rod has kept its tension and is totally functional. Neck is straight.
There is a serial number partly visible where it was masked off before painting ( guitar was originally cherry red ), it is faint, but looks as though it could be 6102, or maybe 5102. There were some 4 digit serials used on LP specials in 58, but couldn't get any real info from Gibson (the late 50s had some weird numbers). Could be as early as 1958 but likely sometime between 1959 - 1961 based on the heel shape.
Please note the guitar is sold as is as a project - it will need work to restore it.
