Up for sale is a mint (9/10) and highly sought after Krell Evolution 402 Amplifier, in stunning Black brushed aircraft aluminum. The meticulous case work is phenomenal and literally is a work of art from both a visual and engineering perspective. No stamped metal here but rather CNC milled from aluminum. This solid state amplifier is in as new condition as it gets for a used amplifier. There are no cosmetic or mechanical issues of any kind. No dust, fingerprints, scratches, marks, dings, etc. Please see accompanying detailed pictures. I absolutely love all my Krell amps throughout the years, however this amp has been the best sounding, most elegant, with tremendous soundstage, imaging and resolution. Comes complete in the manufacturers shipping box. The amplifier includes the power cord, and original paper work.

The Evolution 402 was the flagship stereo amplifier in the Krell Evolution e Series and utilizes the same technological advances as in the larger Evolution monaural amplifiers. The Evolution 402 is an extremely powerful stereo amplifier with the distinct advantage of a smaller footprint. The Evolution 402 was the best of the D' Agostino designed amps at Krell !

The Evolution 402 is equipped with two 2,200 VA transformers and 188,000μF of capacitance. This power source is the backbone for the output of the Evolution 402. With this foundation, the Evolution 402 delivers 400 watts into 8 Ohms, 800 watts into 4 Ohms, and 1,600 watts into 2 Ohms with all both channels driven simultaneously.
