About This Listing

I've owned several of these, and this has been the most complete (and by far, nicest), of them all. I'd love to keep this one, but I have a lead on a vintage Telecaster that I can't get out of my head.. I've copied the original description of this one, from when I purchased it.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I don't buy junk, and I certainly don't sell it.

I'll consider a trade on a D-18 or D-28/HD-28/HD-28V Martin..

What makes this guitar special:  Ultra cool vintage vibe with a gorgeous flame maple body.  The H-78 has gained a tremendous amount of popularity lately due to it being one of Dan Auerbach's main go-to guitars.  If you like the sound of the Black Keys, this may very well be the guitar for you.  DeArmond has been making legendary pickups since the 1930's & this trio of gold foil single coils delivers unbelievably dynamic tones - a sure fire hit for any guitar aficionado.  Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, this beauty plays & sounds fantastic!

Cosmetic Condition:  Great shape overall - various minor nicks & dings; surface scratches & mild finish checking.  The high E tuner is unoriginal; the D & G tuners are slightly bent, but function perfectly.

Neck:  Chunky maple neck with ivoroid binding & black side-dots.  Beautiful dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays.  Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of play in them.  4-ply tortoise headstock overlay with Harmony By Heath logo.  Open-back tuners are in good working condition.  1 3/4" nut width; 24 1/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body:  Hollow, flame maple body with dual F-holes.  Original Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with floating rosewood bridge.  4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks or breaks.  Guitar weighs 6 lbs 6 oz.

Pickups:  Original DeArmond gold foil single coils.  Bridge - 10.20K ohms; Middle - 9.52K ohms; Neck - 9.63K ohms.  Each pickup has its own 2-way on/off switch along with individual volume & tone controls.  All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case:  Original chipboard case included. Not in the best of shape.

The guitar will be packed securely, and shipped quickly. It is for sale locally, and may be removed at anytime. No returns. Please ask all questions before buying.
