Gordon-Smith GS1 (left handed)
Left the workshop in August 2002 and was purchased from Denmark Street shortly after, and I've had it ever since.
Mahogany body, with mahogany neck (glued on) and rosewood fingerboard.
Has the signature split coil Humbucker in the bridge - use the push/pull volume pot to switch between single coil and humbucker. You can get an amazing array of tones with one pickup, not just by switching between the single coil and back, but the tone has great range and just rolling back the volume cleans the signal up.
Known to be a workhorse, the GS1 is built to last. It has a high quality wraparound bridge and a brass nut, so the sustain is fantastic due to the rigidity of the pieces either side of the strings.
I've had this since new for 20 years, so it's picked up checking in the headstock, plus a lot of belt buckle marks and dings along the way (see pics, personally I love road-worn guitars) but everything is stock and working smoothly.
I'm saving up for another Gordon Smith guitar and, though it pains me, I have to sell this one to make room (one in, one out).
If you don't know much about them, they're handmade in the UK - check their website and reviews about the GS1, it's a fantastic guitar, and I'm including a gig bag.
If she doesn't sell or I can't get the right price, then I get to keep her for a while longer :)
