Bacon and Day, B&D Special, 8-String Banjo-Mandolin with neck markings that puts it at about 1929 to early 1930's. B&D (Bacon & Day) was made by The Bacon Tenor Banjo Company of Groton, Connecticut; a maker of high-end tenor banjos. This is a highly unique piece, being that the majority of B&D tenor banjos that are presently out there, are 4-string, Silver Bell #1's.

  • Scalloped headstock design with classic B&D flowery headplate
  • Maple neck, ebony-maple resonator with bell-hole flange (they are typically f-hole)
  • Original case included
  • Check out our demonstration video!
