This a 5 strings Banjo for sale. I have been Collecting Guitars, Bases (both Acoustic and Electric) for over 35 years or more. I also collect Tube Amps, pedals and parts. I will be selling most of them during the next few years. I never played Banjo and or own one 'till a few weeks ago. I bought several guitars and parts on a "Estate Sale; the Banjo was included. I was not able to get any information regarding the Banjo. My knowledge regarding Banjos is very limited but this is my best, based of what I found.
It is at least over 30 tears old, so it is vintage and it seems it was not used very much; It was probably a kit. It look like the neck and wood parts may have not been finished with laquer or any other clear finish. The tuners, neck, metal parts and resonator are decent quality; and I find many on sale that bring close to what I will ask.
The neck is 22 frets and is straight. The fretboard is in good shape but it will need cleaning. The frets are in great shape but the will need some filling at the end because some are sharp. You're probably familiar that fretted instruments suffer from that because time and changes in humidity; so it is expected to happen. I work on my guitars all the time on that. I got over 100 guitars and basses to sell so I do not have time to fix that type of work. There some cleaning to do....but there is great potential for this Banjo. The case is in very good condition..but is not fancy.
