The EM Model is one of our most exciting options, and has quickly become the most popular version of our Artist Series trombones. After years of development (and continuing development) on the Elliot Mason Signature Series Custom Trombone, we decided to base one of our Artist Series trombones around Elliot's sound concept. What makes this horn distinct is the marriage of its high copper alloy, along with the (.500"/.525") dual bore. The unique design of this instrument is unlike anything else presently on the market, and provides a musician the opportunity to obtain an incredibly rich, dark sound. The B.A.C. Artist Series instruments were inspired after years of developing our Custom hand-made instruments. Designed by B.A.C. craftsmen, and produced for us by a partner facility overseas, the objective for this value-conscious professional line was to provide musicians the opportunity to experience our unique approach to design. With stunning aesthetic features, intelligent design and high-quality deluxe cases, these instruments have quickly become preferred and recommended by professionals across the industry.
Condition
This trombone is in really good condition. It has been used a handful of times as a showroom model in our factory. Slide is currently left dry so there is a light scratch sound but is still smooth! Case is in good shape and comes with backpack straps. No major wear or signs of wear.
History
The history of B.A.C. starts right here with the eBay account presenting to you this item. The founder, Mike Corrigan, had attended the most reputable musical instrument repair school in the world in Red Wing, Minnesota, before pursuing instrument manufacturing with a small boutique trombone manufacturer in the Boston, MA area in 2000. Following the September, 11 attacks in 2001, his hours were cut back, and several employees were laid off, forcing Corrigan to turn his childhood passion for collecting antique and vintage instruments as a child into a business. This very eBay account was established in the days after his hours were cut back, and that was essentially the beginning of what has become one of the most respected companies in the business among professional musicians around the world.
