The most misunderstood and possibly most underrated small diaphragm condenser mic on the market!
This is definitely not the ST31. This is the ST33. This was the version of this mic that retailed for $499 And it's an interesting story, here's the short version:
Sterling audio wanted to make a name for themselves by creating mics in a few different price points, the beginner, the intermediate and the pro level. The beginner series were entirely new designs. The beginner series ST31 retailed for $149, it had budget components, but it looked virtually identical to it's upgraded brother, the ST33. The ST33 was the same basic exterior, but with completely upgraded interior, with a true class A FET design (Just look at those components!) featuring the same capsule in the groove tubes version of this mic, the C1 capsule, along with those churchy churchy transformers! This mic sounds amazing. It gives you a full body, with presence in the low mids and mids, but it truly shines in the high frequencies, without sounding harsh or overly excited.
I've used these mics on just about anything you can think of... they sound amazing as drum overheads, as an acoustic guitar mic, I've even used it in place of an SM57 when you need more clarity. It sounds awesome on a snare drum! It sounds great on a guitar cab! I've even used it to record trumpet, ukulele, and acoustic piano as well.
Buy with confidence! I'm a preferred seller, a quick shipper, with 100% 5 star feedback! I'll make sure this gets to you quickly and safely.
