About This Listing

Here's an unusual item you don't see everyday on Reverb!

This vintage, ca. (on or about) 1930 Vegavox peghead overlay is undamaged and in great condition for it's age. Still has nice vibrant color and all original rhinestones at Vega star present and intact.

Shows some light soiling from age, but might clean up nicer if wanted. It's fine as it is and I prefer to leave such stuff alone unless really begs it.

Has some residual dried adhesive on back side, but should clean up easily if necessary. It's pretty smooth all the same, so could likely just attach as is.

Also comes with matching decorative cap for neck heel!

I found a graphic that showed various style of peghead shapes for Vegavox banjos & this shape was referred to as "professional" & is a pretty common shape for the era. It measures just a hair over 5 1/2" at longest dimension & 2 3/4" at widest point.

I could find no other examples of overlays from this era out there for sale, so a pretty scarce item!
