We’re pleased to offer you this beautiful, rare preowned Rocket59 by luthier Damien Probett. Damien is one of the world’s premier guitarbuilders, with a reputation for building some of the greatest modern-dayguitars in existence. This Rocket 59 is certainly no exception. It’s the perfectin-between instrument for those who love the double-cut look and feel of a Strat,but lean towards the Les Paul’s build construction, set-neck, substantial necksize and tone. If you’re the type of player who demands the highest quality workmanshipwith flawless playability, this could be your needle in the haystack.
This guitar feels like a true vintage Les-Paul in your handsand it sustains for what seems like forever. The body to neck ratio is dialedin just right, with neither the body nor the neck being too heavy. It just sitscomfortably on your lap seated or standing up with a strap. There is no neck diving.This is a very balanced instrument.
The pickups are a PAFrepros by Bulldog Pickups in Great Britain. They sound like true vintage DoubleWhite PAF Humbuckers; growly, medium output and zero muddiness. What more couldyou ask for?! All materials are of the highest quality. This guitar has recentlybeen professionally set-up with 10-46 gauge strings. It plays very well; with anice low action of only 3 & 4 64ths of an inch at the 12th fret,High E to Low E.
There are some signs of use on the body such as finishchecking and some small dings. The back of the neck has a few small finishdings as well, but this does not affect the playability whatsoever, as you don’tfeel them while playing and they are not deep. See pics.
The Rocket 59 is currently no longer in production and theseguitars are getting harder to find. This actual example is featured in the gallerypage on Probett’s website.
