About This Listing

UPDATE Oct 29, 2021.

(the below is correct, however, I have now dressed the frets and action is excellent and minor buzzing above 14 with 4/64th action only if you really spank the notes. Also installed vintage 500K pots and capacitor (see photo) for ES-150s. An original set all intact. Also cleated a small crack just below the pickguard which was minor and harmless, but I did it anyway since I had the CC out). Price increase reflects the cost of vintage harness just installed.

Original listing:

This little refinished one has all the mojo and fun of an all original at half the price. The most important part is that the Charlie Christian pickup, is an original as is the unique port-hole tailpiece which houses the 1/4" jack.
Other hardware is all vintage and period correct (just not original to this particular guitar) such as the bridge, nickel tuners and guard.

The guitar was apparently refinished in the 50’s and a double parallelogram inlay fretboard was installed while frets and nut were replaced.  The age is discernible by examining the inlays themselves and the finish black lights as any other vintage instrument would (yellow glow). When the guitar came to me it had an ebony nut which I have replaced with bone recently for better performance.

In short, it’s one of the best sounding and playing 1930's pieces in my collection. Action is set at 4/64th at both E strings in the 12th fret.

Comes in newer black case.
