Scale Length:  22.5" both necks
Body:  Black Walnut, Curly Koa, Wenge
Fingerboards:  Thumbnail Maple bound in Wenge and Curly Koa with Abalone dots
Nuts:  Bison Bone
Tuning Machines:  Planet Waves Auto-Trim Locking Machines in Chrome.  Super easy string changes.
Pickups:  Overwound humbucker with Alnico 5 on the 6 string neck, and a my own dual wind single coil on the 8 string neck, also using Alnico 5.
Bridges:  Stainless Steel saddles with diminishing string channels lathed in, set into carefully crafted Macassar Ebony footings that are pinned to the body.  They look sharp, and the materials offer good vibrational induction and sustain qualities.
Knob and Toggle Caps:  Curly Koa, the toggle cap having a stainless threaded insert.  If you view my Instagram page, you will find a recent post of a mushroom shaped toggle cap done in koa and bison bone scraps just for fun (it totally works, it just stands little taller than the normal koa one).  It is included with this guitar.
Finish:  Several applications of slowly cured tung oil, conditioned with Odie's Wood Butter.  It looks incredibly rich in person and feels great.  I will provide some Odie's with the guitar for occasional maintenance conditioning.

The 6 string neck has its own tone control adjacent the toggle, and it is also a push/pull switch to engage a coil cut on that pickup, to offer an option of a more Fender'y tonality.
On the 8 string side there is a master volume(closest the necks) and then a tone control for the eight string pickup.  The 8 string pickup is a dual wind, so when functioning normally it has a resistance reading of 12.1kOhms and has a higher output 'pedal steel' tone and response, and when the push/pull is pulled up the coil is "tapped" into at 7.2kOhms, and this offers more chime and an airy quality associated with Fender/Stringmasters.  The goal with this build was to offer a range of tonal and tuning options in one instrument.  This steel would be ideal as an in-house instrument for a recording studio, or as a road instrument to cover a few bases and genres.  An interesting thing happens when on the middle, or 'both', setting, is that the output diminishes for each side, as they are functioning in parallel, and this offers even a bit more of an underwound pickup response to touch and response when run through any given gain staging or effects.

This is a string-through design. The show surface of the ballend insets are Curly Black Walnut, with brass ballend retainers that sit beneath them - these are properly grounded to the electronics.  The string ferrules on the top are made in-house and are slightly larger in diameter and are set much deeper into the wood that store-bought string ferrules, and they offer a great look and will not torque on the top of the body and cause subtle indentations like standard ferrules can over time.

It comes strung with GHS Emaj gauges on the 6 string neck and SIT C6 tuning on the 8 string neck.  I also have A6 sets on hand should a buyer prefer that on the 8 string side.

It comes in a custom fitted and roadworthy Hatton hardshell case.  And, as you can see, there are two stainless bolts on the belly, these are threaded inserts designed into the lapsteel as a contingency for stand attachment, with which to fasten via hand screws a mounting plate etc.  I'd be happy to discuss option of ways in which to utilize such with an interested buyer.
