1930's Kay Kraft Style C Acoustic Guitar Nick Lucas Stencil X Braced-Vintage

This listing is for a really lovely and soulful sounding 1930's Kay Kraft Style C Acoustic Guitar. This guitar is modeled like a Nick Lucas and has a similar deep body shape and a lovely gold leaf stencil. This guitar is X braced and sounds great. Unfortunately the action or the string height is high which makes the guitar harder to play. The high action is due to a poor neck angle and the neck is also not straight and has a hump past where is meets the body. The frets are the original bar frets and they do show wear but feel great. There is fret buzz at and above the 12th fret. The guitar has a few repaired top cracks and no back or side cracks. The guitar has lot of finish checking and nicks, dings and scratches. The guitar comes with the case pictured which is an older chip board case from 1950's and not original to the guitar. The guitar has a hauntingly good sound despite the high action.While the guitar is manageable to play in the first position the action is uncomfortable high. The guitar is an excellent candidate for a full restoration and a neck set done by a skilled luthier would get you a pretty spectacular guitar if you're willing to put the work into it.
