Vintage Early 80s Kramer Vanguard Special Electric Guitar Flying V, 1980s #27102

Today, we're very pleased to offer this Vintage Early '80s Kramer Vanguard Special Electric Guitar! This extremely rare aluminum/wood neck Flying V-style guitar was first introduced in 1981. The neck plate (which had the serial number stamped in it) is missing, so it's unclear exactly what year it was manufactured. This model, however, was discontinued by 1984, so we can safely say it's from the early '80s. It shows normal cosmetic wear one would expect with a vintage instrument, but is in overall good condition. This guitar is solid as a rock and delivers sustain that has to be heard to be believed!!! Looks, plays and sounds great! Due to its scarcity (not to mention cool factor!), this one won't last long. Make it yours today! Body The body shows noticeable finish checking due to age. Heavier checking can be seen near the neck plate area, but there are no cracks in the wood itself. Again, the neck plate is missing (as is the back plate). Normal scratches and dings can also be seen. There is a drill hole between the wings where the the strap button was originally placed. In overall good condition and aesthetically pleasing! 
Neck The neck (with ebony fingerboard) is straight as an arrow and jumbo frets show no wear, as our own Master Luthiers just did a complete re-fret! The fingerboard was also starting to separate from the neck and was professionally reset by our expert repairmen. Plays and feels great! The aluminum on the back of the neck shows some wear and a has a two-inch section in the middle where some indentations in the metal can be felt. 
Pickups The humbucker is unmarked, so we couldn't determine the manufacturer. What we can tell you is that it sounds fantastic (not to mention loud!) with thick, crunchy distortion!
Hardware All hardware is in great shape with light, normal wear. The original strap buttons have been replaced with black Schaller strap locks.
