Here we have a bit of a rare bird. a top line CD player from Sony.
This was the high line of Sony's offerings that year CDP- 270. 470 and this a CDP-670
Boast 8X over sampling 18 Bit Filter, Utilizing Dual Burr Brown PCM56P DAC chips
While everyone else was buying on Price - this was too high for most that wanted to get on the CD bandwagon.
Not nearly as many were sold as the CDP-270, entry level
It's truly is a sweet sounding CD player - when manufacturer's were paying attention to audio fidelity.
Unit is equipped with an Optical (TOSLINK) output as well... a feature not available on the two lower end models
You'll get an original Owner's manual - RM-D55 Period correct remote control. Also a set of new alkaline batteries and a set of audio cables. Ready to Play on the first Day !!
It's in excellent shape for it's time - a little rash on the rear top cover and mild mark on the faceplate - hard to see.
It's been cleaned right down to Q-Tip level.
The pics show a little overspray of cleaning material - it will be given another "once over before packing ...
(I even clean the power cord !)Lens has been cleaned
and the Laser pickup track has been lubricated correctly.
Played for hours to ensure trouble free operation. I run these units for hours on end on "shuffle mode".
Track access is immediate - no "searching"... reads very quickly. The display is also still clear and bright,
which tells me that it's a relatively "low hour" unit. those florescent displays tend to get dim. Not this one.
Now don't get me wrong, It can't perform miracles - your CD's need to be clean and scratch free
and used on a level surface. Scratched and dirty CD's Will skip.
Specifications
Rare find - don't pass this one up.
Have a look at my other items - will combine shipping costs as much as possible.
I also have lots of other items - turntables and more that I have not gotten to yet.
They are all in cue
Nothing gets to Reverb until I go through it thoroughly.
Just ask and I'll will prioritize and let it "cut the line".
Just message me.
Listening to it now - man does it sound sweet... It rivals my CDP-508EDS
