Check out the attached video for an in depth look at this model (this exact guitar isn’t the one featured in the video in case you’re wondering). The 34 burst finish on this model is extremely rare. It seems as though Gibson discontinued the finish shortly after the model's announcement. Named after the burst style used for a short period in the 1930s. Here is one of only a few that have shown up for sale in the USA, so here's your chance at it. Gibson demo models are essentially a modern day "second", but they come with COAs, unlike normal production models. I’m wondering if this was a second because the inside serial number/model sticker is upside down? A new design from Gibson Memphis for the 2019 model release, the ES-235 is inspired by the brand’s classic Electric-Spanish models like the ES-125 and solid bodies like the Les Paul. The result is a semi-hollow masterpiece, featuring a single Florentine cut for better fret access and spruce bracing around a solid maple centerblock for excellent sustain and resonance with a minimum of feedback. It’s loaded with a gloss nitrocellulose ’34 Burst finish, dual Burstbucker Pro humbucking pickups, and wired up with a Memphis Tone Circuit Plus (MTC Plus), bringing you not only incredible looks, but hybrid tone to match too.
