Accuphase DP-57: A phenomenal CD player for digital audiophiles!
The Accuphase DP-57, released in 2005, is a modern audiophile-targeting high-fidelity CD player that features Accuphase’s proprietary high-performance audio technology. The DAC on this thing is really amazing, featuring MDS++ (Multiple Delta Sigma++), an innovative 24-bit DAC technology developed by Accuphase. MDS++ builds on Accuphase’s MMB technology and consists of four Texas Instruments delta sigma PCM1796 DACs operated in parallel (2x2), allowing the signal level to be increased with respect to the level of conversion errors. This technical innovation enabled significantly enhanced performance by all important metrics. Jitter is eliminated by use of the highly accurate chips, resulting in accurate conversion of the input signal. Overall vibrations are highly attenuated by both the rugged chassis construction and the advanced disc table design. All of these factors bring to the table a modern device with the highest possible quality in playback of audio from CDs. Like other Accuphase equipment, the DP-57 is gorgeous in appearance, with an emphasis on luxury. It's just overall an awesome unit!
This unit is in excellent condition, with minor signs of age and use, including some minor scuffs but no noticeable damage (please see photos). This player works perfectly and has been thoroughly checked and tested by our professional technician, confirming its flawless operation. The sound quality is superb, as expected.
