Early 1925 Gibson F-5 mandolin, an "unsigned Loar" as they say, very likely constructed in part while Lloyd was still at Gibson. Incredible, superlative condition, fully original other than the inside of the F-holes having been painted to match the binding, which is actually something Gibson did on some models, so it looks appropriate and pretty great, but could be easily removed. A couple of very minor things needed, like the small area of binding that has pulled away from the end of the fingerboard. Original case. As for sound, it compares favorably with many Loar signed instruments. *Price reduced. Wire transfer and local pick up preferred.
