Hamer USA Newport Pro 2000/2001 Orange Sparkle Translucent OSHC SD Seth Lover Pups

What we have here is a pristine Hamer USA Newport Pro with all original parts and pickups. Comes with original Hamer hardshell case. It does have the typical "hameritis" finish weirdness that you see a lot on these years from about the early nineties to the early 2000s or so. You'll see it in the pictures, it's where the neck meets the body.

The wiring was upgraded by a once quite well known professional luthier, Pat O'Donnell, when I was living in south Florida. Pat is responsible for some of the Jerry Garcia style guitars from back in the day, and I believe he still builds them. We decided that the stock wiring was not allowing this guitar its best tonal capabilities so we updated it to a 50s style with an orange drop capacitor as you can see that I highlighted in a couple of the pictures.

I'm only listing it in "very good" condition because of the "hameritis" otherwise it's in pristine condition with no damage, dents or dings, just some slight typical pics swirls and whatnot. Everything working as it should with no noise or scratchiness in the pots.

*I'm unable to get the classy-looking sparkle finish to show in the pictures. It's subtle but it's noticeable in person and for some reason it doesn't photo well.

This thing sounds fantastic as all Hamer USA guitars typically do with no pickup changes necessary! Seymour Duncan Seth leather pickups are absolutely fantastic! If you're not familiar with them and they are a great match for this guitar!

The neck profile is quite a bit like a Les Paul chunky 50's with a flat 14.5" fretboard radius great for bending and chording.

If you need to play quietly late at night this guitar plays quite well unplugged! A lot like an acoustic guitar! Very resonant and quite loud when unplugged so imagine what it's like plugged in!

Comes with its original hard shell case which is in used and not pristine condition.

I've been doing this since the mid 1990's and I know how to pack and ship guitars. You won't have to worry that it might be damaged due to a bad packing job!
