Thanksgiving Weekend Sale!  Was $4700

This Schroeder has resided in my personal stash since last summer. A couple opportunities are coming up that have me considering a sale.

I purchased this directly from Jason Schroeder. I have coveted his guitars since he brought some of his first builds into my music store back in the late 90’s. A client of his commissioned this build, played it for several years, then traded it in towards a new Schroeder build.

The guitar is light (8lbs 12oz) and has a great feel plus some really cool design elements like the tortoise backplates, Brazilian rosewood headstock overlay and the logo motif that carries around the guitar: the Schroeder bridge, headstock profile, output jack plate, etc.

The neck is a thick ‘59 profile with the perfect nitro finish on the back that feels really smooth, almost played in, despite the fact that it isn’t relic’d or played through the finish. Jason put a VOS treatment on the finish, and the neck feel is a great result. Frets are stainless, medium in shape/height. The radius is 12” and the scale length is 24.625”.

The eastern maple flame top is gorgeous and has the look of the R8s and R9s that everyone is drawn to. The Honduran mahogany body has some really cool grain to it. The fretboard appears to be Brazilian as well, but the build sheet doesn’t say so.

The pickups surprised me. I knew the P90/humbucker combo was going to be awesome, but I didn't think the Duncan humbucker would blow me away like it does - it is a Duncan Custom Shop Slash Signature. The P90 is a Bare Knuckles Nantucket 90. They work well together, and in the mid position you get all kinds of variation when messing with the two volume controls. The only change I considered making was the addition of a coil tap for the humbucker, but I hate changing guitars like this. It would be a great mod though!

The guitar has been played, but there is plenty of life left in the frets. The small area of worming on the back and light signs of use make it so you can play and enjoy the guitar without being the first to ding it.

Jason’s bridges are killer, and I’m sure they enhance the tone of this guitar. The locking studs do make a difference.

The package rounds out with a really nice Schroeder branded hard shell case - it’s a beautiful thing just by itself! Inside is the COA/build sheet.
