About This Listing

1968 Gibson EB-2

1968 Gibson EB-2 Semi Hollow Body Bass Guitar

The Gibson EB-2 is a semi-hollow bass with that classic Gibson shape. A single humbucker on the neck and a shorter scale length identify the EB-2 EB-2D. The EB-2's tone and style attracted bassists like Chas Chandler of the Animals and John Entwistle of the Who.

This bass sounds and plays great. It is in good condition with the nitro finish showing checking on the lower bout and has few nicks. The baritone cut switch works and the slim neck is straight and features low action.

This EB-2 Electric Bass has a 20 fret range on all four strings. The Double-Cutaway body has an arched maple top and back with matching maple rims and pearl dot inlays. The fast-action neck is mahogany with rosewood fingerboard.

Includes original hard shell case.

Good condition.

Some checking on lower bout.

Very few nicks.

Very good condition for a 53 year old bass.
