About This Listing

'We are passionate about providing the best B.A.C. Artist Series New York Series (II) Model Bb Trumpet ~ Med. Large (.460”) Bore Trumpet ~ Beautiful Classic Style Professional Trumpet Model B.A.C. Artist Series New York Series (II) Description Up for sale is this incredible playing example of one of the more exciting trumpets to make it’s way to the trumpet stage in recent years. Originally introduced in 2012, the B.A.C. Artist Series Instruments was originally a collaboration that was born out of a humanitarian effort between Master Craftsman and B.A.C. Musical Instruments Founder/President Mike ‘Horn Doctor’ Corrigan, and New Orleans Trombonist Troy Andrews, on Corrigan’s repair mission trips, where he was offering free repair work to the musicians in the French Quarter following Hurricane Katrina. (More of that story in the History portion of this description) The NYC Model received a redesign, and the revised New York Series (ii) was released in 2018.
This instrument was designed for a more symphonic oriented musician in mind. The bell and leadpipe tapers provide superb intonation. Although colors and complexities of this instrument lend beautifully for a larger classical literature, and the instrument slots wonderfully, the flexibility of and balance between tone and projection allow the instrument to work well in a variety of musical settings from jazz or solo large group concert settings. Inspired by the classic New York concepts that came out of the 1940’s, this B.A.C. Artist Series offers a high quality product with an exceptional value model for musicians as compared to alternatives in the marketplace today. It doesn’t take long (a few notes is all) for a musician to learn why musicians and educators around the world are taking notice of the newest and most exciting contender in the market today, B.A.C. Music in Kansas City’s Historic Jazz District. Condition This instrument is in very nice condition!! As you will see in the images, this is the Series II. You will find superficial surface scratches in the finish as would be expected from handling and being played, but the instrument was never neglected, and shows no signs of ever being damaged, nor does it have scars or show signs of being repaired. It has been a floor demo model only. The valves have been aligned, and the compression is superb. The valves and slides move freely. There are no mechanical issues to speak of. This instrument is ready to play!! Specifications Yellow Brass Reso-Tempered Bell - 4 ¾” Bell - Classic Weight Construction - Dual Radius Tuning Slide Crook - Stainless Steel Valves - Medium Large Bore (.460") ML Bore - Classic Finger Hooks - Deluxe Artist Case - Silver Plated Finish - Elegant Hand Engraving
