About This Listing

John Preston ~1780 baroque guitar - an excellent replica - fine and original sound!

A beautiful baroque guitar by John Preston (London). He is one of the most famous guitar makers from England.

This guitar is a very good replica ... a perfect guitar to bring the music of the baroque period to life in style.
This guitar was handmade by Eneas Freire from Spain, true to the original using the materials of the time.
The scale length is 624 mm and the nut width 46 mm. It has a spruce top and rosewood back and sides.

The sound is sweet - transparent and light. Very clear and absolutely charming. This baroque guitar also has good sustain and captivates with fine and sweet tones.
It is an absolute pleasure to play this fine instrument and let it take you to faraway places and times gone by.
