In good condition but as expected this steel guitar does show some scratches, scuffs and a split to the finish of the body under the aluminium head cover (see pictures).
The finish split is not structural and it seems that pretty much every example of this 50's model has the same split, so nothing to worry about as it doesn't affect play at all. The underside has had various soft materials applied over the years to help playing stability.
The original electrics are in full working order, the strings have recently been replaced and the guitar plays as well as any steel out there. Superb sustain, excellent tone and an absorbing playing experience.
Supplied with a heavy weight steel bar and a hard case, adjusted for the guitar so it's a snug fit, although it is patched up with tape in places.
