This is a super rare Lyra slot head parlor acoustic guitar. Most likely from the 1930's. The guitar is 100% original except for the bridge which was fabricated by a luthier. The old bridge was non functional. This guitar is just so cool. It has an awesome finish and just look at the inlaid marquetry! I have never seen a guitar with this work before. The string height is good and certainly playable up the neck. First position chords are very comfortable. The neck is straight. There is no separation at the neck joint. I looked up "lyra parlor guitar" on google and only found a guitar similar without the slot head and no inlaid marquetry. This thing is loud and punchy and sound great with a slide.
This is in pretty darn good shape for an 80 plus year old guitar.
These guitars were apparently built by Oscar Schmidt. There is a website that I found .
