PRICE: I purchased these Volumes of Professional Sound Libraries new for a small fortune from a certified EMU/AKAI dealer, so I own the commercial license for all of them. While I’ve gotten good use from them, I’d rather keep them with my original licenses, then give them away and not be able to have commercial use of them again. So, please no low ball offers. COMPATIBILITY: These CD ROMS are either in native E-MU (.e3x or .e4x) format or Akai format, which can be directly used by E-MU E4, E-MU E4 Ultra & Akai Samplers of that generation (eg EIV, S1000, S2000, S6000, etc...). I used them with my E-MU E4XT Ultra and they all work perfectly. Additionally, these are high quality libraries, which can be imported, translated, or converted into MANY other formats such as & Akai (S1000, S2000, S6000, MPC Live...), Korg (Trinity, Triton, Kronos,…), and Kontakt. I’ve successful used these sounds in Emulator X, Kontakt, Korg Kronos, MPC X, Akai S5000 and many other systems. Because of the many file formats out there, I can not be responsible for compatibility with your specific sampler and will not accept a return based on incompatibility. However, for COMPATIBILITY TESTING, I can provide an ISO file for one of the CDs for testing.

I've done my best to describe them in detail and don't think I've missed anything, but no returns or refunds will be accepted under any circumstance. This sample CD offers you a variety of instruments designed to allow quick access to a large number of banks that can be customized in real time. Each instrument is set up to take advantage of the power of the synthesis engine used in the E4 product family. This collection includes Sound Sprints, Solo Instruments, and Combo Banks designed for instant musical composition.

This was the begining of the NEW E4 CD Rom Library. The Producer Series contains SoundSprint Folders with 75 Key Sprints/75 Composer Sprints. Each SoundSprint is mapped to Real Time Controllers 21, 22, 23 & 24. The Thumby button is mapped to controller 66. It also contains Solo Folders with 28 banks one half meg. in size or greater (PLUS A 26 MEGABYTE PIANO). Each bank is treated as one preset and is also mapped to the above controllers. There is also a Combo Folder with SoundSprints assembled together for multitimbral operation. Compatible with E4 Ultras and other EOS samplers.

E-MU PRODUCER SERIES VOL. 3 - HOLLYWOOD SOUND EFFECTS

This sample CD contains a vast assortment of sound effects from the library of noted Hollywood sound effects guru Frank Serafine. For over two decades, Mr. Serafine has circled the globe in search of new and unique sounds, often inventing new microphones and miking techniques in the process. Now, for the first time, these classic sounds are available for E-MU samplers, making them more convenient to use and opening up a whole world of new sounds by applying the many amazing features of E-MU’s famous EOS sampling and synthesis system.

The effects are divided into six folders: Science Fiction, Ambient Sounds, Automotive, Human & Animal, Water, and Miscellaneous. The preset and sample names describe the sources, but the application of these sounds are limited only by your imagination. E-MU PRODUCER SERIES VOL. 4 - DENNY JAEGER PRIVATE COLLECTION

Denny Jaeger is one of the most experienced sound designers in the world today. Many of the sounds and musical sound effects contained in this collection come from groundbreaking new developments and techniques in the use of samples.

The focus of this development, of course, is far from the technology itself; it is on making better music. Every sound in this collection has been thoroughly tested in Denny Jaeger’s one-of-a-kind digital control room by surviving strenuous musical applications.

This library offers some of the most advanced sampling sound design ever achieved. In fact, many of the categories and resultant approaches to sampling contained in this collection will affect the way you use samples for years to come. Denny Jaeger has found methods that simulate the detail and playability offered by morphing and re-synthesis. In some ways, these methods are better because the sounds that he has focused on for this collection don’t morph or re-synthesize very well in the first place.

Layout/Organization
This collection is organized to make it easy to mix and match presets and samples. Some volumes were created for systems with lots of RAM. We’ve also offered several Sprints, located in the Sprints folder. These Sprint presets are very small in size, but still carry a lot of weight sonically. In some cases, there are dry and wet versions of patches. In some of these cases, because of memory considerations, the wet version uses less samples and may be patched differently. Wet versions are always in stereo.

An asterisk denotes a MegaPatch&, Denny Jaeger’s innovative approach for making sequenced drums virtually indistinguishable from the live performance of a real drummer. Here’s the secret: the reason drum machines sound so sterile is that the same kick, snare, and hi-hat samples are played over and over. No matter how realistic the samples are, the absence of variation is a dead giveaway and the listener immediately recognizes that the music is being played by a computer. A human drummer, on the other hand, plays each note a little bit differently from the last. The solution is brilliant in its simplicity; each MegaPatch contains a number of similar, but not identical, samples for each instrument of the drum kit. By randomly rotating the samples, you can create sequences without the robotic quality usually associated with sampled drums.

Sliders
Because of the brilliant real time control available on the E4, we’ve utilized sliders for most patches. Instead of getting hundreds of presets of varying degrees of usability, you get a small amount of presets, each of which give you infinite possibilities in real time. In general, slider A controls the frequency cutoff of the filter. Slider B controls the Q of the filter. Slider C controls the release of the envelope. Slider D controls the pitch.

If you don’t have an E4K keyboard, assign your MIDI controller sliders to MIDI A, B, C, and D. EOS samplers respond to MIDI controllers 21, 22, 23, & 24 for sliders A-D, but this can be changed to fit your needs by going to Master > MIDI > MIDI Controllers 2.

System Compatibility
This collection was programmed on an E4 fully loaded with RAM. Although this library is usable with an 8MB system, it is recommended using at least 64MB of RAM, and to fully experience the synergy of this library, grow up to 128MB of RAM.

This sample CD library has been designed to allow quick access to a large number of banks that can be customized in real time. Each instrument is set up to take advantage of the power of the synthesis engine used in the Emulator product family.

The disc format includes 3D Keyboard Folders, 3D Percussion Folder, 3D Sound Effects Folder, 3D SoundSprint Folder, and a 3D Multis Folder. Each 3D Folder is mapped to Real Time Controllers 21, 22, 23, & 24. The Thumby button is mapped to controller 66. These controllers give expressive control to the user.
