About This Listing

A European classic - with rich, played-in, mature sound.

Now at incredibly reasonable price: $6,500!
(two thousand five hundred less than it recently sold for).

Local pickup preferred - but delivery is negotiable.

It has undergone previous repairs to the neck and back. All repairs are stable; play the bass with confidence.

Ideal for jazz, bluegrass, blues, folk - as well as classical. No amp required - it plays LOUD when you dig in and has impressive presence in pianissimo passages.

Deep ribs (see specs below) give it symphonic resonance, and flat back makes it a punchy jazz cannon.

Bass probably dates to the late 1800s to early 1900s.

Recent upgrades: fingerboard, end pin and bridge.

Hat-peg tuners add to the mojo.

Belly is 42" long (top of front to bottom)

User-friendly 41.5" string length

Rib depth: 7.25" at the neck, 8.5" at the lower bout

Eb neck

Copper Realist pickup included.

Currently sporting Thomastik Spirocore Weich strings.
