About This Listing

Folks we have here a custom wired series Black Telecaster with a New custom Skull & Rose pickguard, a New Skull & Chains neckplate, a New set of Black Dunlop Straploks & a New Black ABS Hardshell case.

This is built from Fender licensed and aftermarket parts. This is not a Fender factory built guitar but it is loaded with custom vintage wound alnico II single coils that sound like a real tele should. The tone pot is a 250k pull pot that runs the pickups in series like a humbucker in position 1-2. but it doesn't sound like a humbucker, just a very thick full telecaster. In position 3 it works as a kill switch. When the pot is down, it’s standard telecaster switching. The volume is a Fender American CTS 250k.

We here @ Rocking the Shack did not do this custom wiring, but the previous owner did! We installed the pickguard, strap locks, neck plate , provided the case and did the set-up.

The neck is maple with a modern medium C profile with a rosewood fretboard and has 22 medium jumbo frets. The neck has a satin finish with no skunk stripe. so it is silky smooth.  It has a solid string thru alder body with gloss black finish.

We have gone through this guitar and given it a complete set-up with 9-42 strings. Spec's for the set up where the same as Jim Weider uses for "Old Yeller", his 1952 Fender Telecaster.

A complete set-up, (a $90.00 value), includes adjustment of the truss rod, string height adjustment (action), Nut adjustment if needed, pickup height adjustment w/pickup poles radius set and intonation set. Along with a set-up we do a fretdress which includes precision leveling, re-crowning and polishing of the instrument's frets. Also the fretboard was cleaned and oiled along with the whole guitar cleaned and polished.

There may be some very slight marks or light scratches on the body, but nothing the cameras can capture.  In fact It is a very clean body and in excellent  shape. The gloss Black finish is stunning and the new Skull & Rose pickguard adds to it's looks, we think!
Everything works as it should and this Telecaster is in great playing condition! What a beauty with great Telecaster tones!

Guitar has no breaks or repairs, it is not stamped used or is a 2nd and not a B- stock or a blem model.
And please realize that the price of shipping reflects the fact that this guitar comes in a case, so therefore it adds to the weight & size of the package.

We at Rocking the Shack like guitars in cases, nice and safe! And are also big fans of strap locks! Pickguards are also nice.

At the Shack we do tune ups and set ups but only when requested by customer. Unless, at times if we feel that a set up would really benefit an instrument then we just do it.
Of course every guitar deserves a good set up with new strings.
Here at Rocking the Shack we keep climate control conditions all year round and the instruments live in a smoke free environment in their cases!
As mentioned before we love cases and strap locks for the safety and protection they offer.  Need we say more!
Pickguards are also nice for protection of the body and when matched up right they can really bring out a hidden beauty in an instrument! And this is where we get to use our Art degrees!
We pride ourselves in offering quality working beautiful instruments for sale for reasonable prices. We are great communicators and the best packers and shippers. We ship with Reverb protection through UPS mostly.

We do sell and ship to Canada but cannot list the shipping cost till we know your address and your serious. Then we can do an estimate of that cost and send you a offer.

We try and spend the time needed to make sure you are a happy camper/customer.  When we work on your guitar it is no different then working on our own. And it gives us great joy to know someone is playing and enjoying an instrument we have worked on and owned. We have the same goals and desires as you. To play a fine insturment that sounds, looks and plays great!

Thanks so much for your interest!
