If you're looking for unique and some of the best boutique that American Luthier's have to offer than look no further, the quality of this piece is just as good or better than anything Fodera or Alembic have to offer at a fraction of the price. If you tried to order this piece like this from Jackson today it would easily cost 3 times what I'm asking!!

Koa is an increasingly rare and amazing tone wood from Hawaii that actually increases in regards to it's tonal characteristics over time and the fact that it's neck through body makes it incredibly rare and tonally unique in that aspect alone!!
Just try to obtain Koa boards long enough to do neck through body Lams!! I have done exhaustive research on this topic and all the basses I found with Koa necks have been bolt on or set
(IF you can find them!!)

I emailed Jackson about this piece and this is what they had to say:

"Hi Stephen,

This Jackson Custom 5 String Bass (yes this is how it's labeled in our system) was made on February 28 of 2011. The body and stripes are Koa, the neck is flatsawn maple, the top and headcap are bookmatched flame maple, and the fretboard is maple. The pickup is a Seymour Duncan SMB-5D with a Duncan STC-3M4 preamp. The tuners and bridge are hipsot. There were only three made, so I'm afraid there is no spec sheet on it, and this is all the material I was able to gather.

I just had this piece inspected and setup by my tech with new DR Black Beauty Strings , she is absolutely flawless with killer low action, neck is in perfect alignment with no buzzes or dead spots what so ever!!
I also had my tech correct the Pickup Height Adjustment, when I first got her you couldn't adjust it at all and the PU was to close to the strings but now it's at the perfect height and fully adjustable!!

I would also consider a trade + cash for a high end guitar with a 1 11/16" or better nut width ( 1 3/4" Preferred) and 25.5" scale i.e. USA G&L ASAT'S Dolheney's etc.
