These vintage Holton horns were custom made in the 20s for Gustav Heim and his associates of the New York Philharmonic and the New York Symphony, both of for which Heim was the lead trumpet. These horns are very rare, especially one in this condition. Heim helped to design these hand built horns. It has an unusual .453" bell, and beautiful floral hand-engraving on the bell. This horn has some lacquer wear here and there, particularly around the lead pipe, but it has no major dents or dings, and is fully functionable. This horn comes with a Holton mouthpiece as well as a Holton case.
