Based on the Buchla 100 Series, Model 180 is a dual function generator with two ASR envelopes. The note duration (i.e., sustain phase) is dictated by the length of incoming trigger or gate signals, but can also be determined via potentiometers. Users can achieve AD behavior by turning the envelopes fully counterclockwise. The module can also be configured to behave as an atypical clock divider since its modulators cannot be retriggered while attack or note duration phases are initialized. Additionally, the circuit emits linear voltage curves for maximum punchiness.
