Up for grabs is a New Seagull Steel String Soprano Ukulele. For those not familiar with the brand, Seagull has been crafting fine acoustic instruments right here in Canada since 1982. Right away you can tell that this  ukulele offers a lot of unique features not typically found in this price range. The contoured cutaway maple body with solid spruce top feels very comfortable sitting or standing and delivers a very smooth and bright tone, with quite a bit of volume for it's size. For those picky about how their instruments play, the built in truss rod allows adjustment of the neck relief to ensure excellent playability in all seasons. The satin maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and 1.375" nut width feels and plays amazing, with a nice low action. This model is unique because it is strung with steel strings, and offers a feel and tone more similar to a mandolin/ acoustic guitar. Plugged in the built in 9 volt pickup system with volume and tone control provides a very natural sound with lots of volume. Having the cutaway and sculpted neck heel really allow you to reach and play every fret, for those long uke solos that the band wants you to play lol. This model has a tiny 1.5" lacquer crack near the tone control, so I'm listing it as a B-Stock. Rounding out the specs are a Tusq nut & saddle, guitar pick shaped sound hole, rosewood bridge, tapered headstock, white pearloid pickguard, and a super cool satin burst finish.
