Your looking at an authentic original Vintage CTS 137 628 Custom Ampeg Design Bass Speaker out of a 1966 Ampeg Porta Flex B 15N Bass Amp. Totally nothing wrong with it a collectors dream especially who owns a 1966 Ampeg B 15 and wants an original never recone in perfect working order and securely crated and bolted in a plywood platform box. A once in a life time rare opportunity to buy the speaker that belongs to your 1966 Ampeg B 15N. Original Square CTS made for Ampeg magnet. Numbers on the speaker cone read: 150 2 G3 the date stamped on the outside of the baffle rim is Dec. 6, 1966 so you know this speaker has never been coned. I took the speaker out when I bought my 1966 B 15N so I wouldn't damage it in the event that I would ever sell the amp.. is here on reverb. I owned a 1962 B15N with a Jensen Alnico Speaker and I prefer that one, how ever not easy to find. So I remember I put an old JBL in my old cabinet when I was young and a friend of mine who repairs key boards and amps had a brand new in box 15 inch 1971 JBL Speaker and so I decided to put that one in. Sorry there are no returns for any reason, please read my store and return policy. Speaker will arrive in seen condition look at the pictures carefully. shipping will be carefully boxed with a Ply wood bottom bolted in special design speaker box and shipped Priority Mail 2-3 day depending on where you live in the USA only. Shipping is a tad higher for the Priority and weight.. This just in from one of our Reverb.com sellers who sells strictly speakers on reverb, if you click or go to his name you will see the many speakers he has, says in essence this speaker is all original and never reconed, here is his statement just emailed to me:
... an even better guarantee it's never been re-conesd is that you can see the loo-tite adhesive between the frame/cone... if it was re-coned, the blue would have had to be removed/cleaned for the new cone....
