RARE MODEL... If you run the numbers on this you will find it was made on Wed, Feb. 16, 2005, and was put together by one person, the guitars usually have different people working different stages.
It has been professionally set up by the Guitar Doctor and plays like butter!!!
This JC-16RGTE Premium has the Fishman Prefix Stereo Blender pickup system to get the best of both worlds between and under saddle pickup and a microphone inside the sound hole, and blending them together. Solid Sitka spruce top w/ mahogany back and sides. Beautiful arrow rosette around sound hole and down the back.
And nice binding around body and neck.
I bought my Martin from the Sam Ash Music chain in Orange County, CA. The tag price was $1250 w/case. List price was about $1900. I managed to talk the salesman down to $1175.
It is esthetically beautiful. The wood grain on the back and sides is amazing. The Martin tuners hold a tune for weeks at a time. The rosette consists of beautiful multi-colored wood inlays and the back spine has similar inlays. The sound is bright, loud and crisp. It has a Fishman pickup which I use when I want to experiment with different sounds. It has a good "feel" to it. It's as if you know you're holding a quality instrument.
No dislikes. The price is steep for recreational players. But, I expect that for a quality instrument.
Solid spruce top. Mahogony back and sides. Ebony fingerboard. Fishman pickup. Martin tuners. Superb workmanship.
