The Jupiter Carnegie XL CTS-2000 tenor saxophone is an improved step-up model from their prior CTS-800 series. Though Jupiter no longer makes these horns (this one was made around 1991), they are comparable to their modern-day 1100 series.
This tenor saxophone would be an amazing choice for a student looking for an upgraded model to last them through high school and college. As a matter of fact, this horn is my personal tenor sax which served me throughout my entire high school and college career. I have taken the utmost care of this instrument and it has been serviced annually. The horn has no dents/significant scratches and does not need any new pads; it is ready to play right out of the case. However, one of the handles on the case was damaged upon my own purchase of the instrument (see photos). I am only selling this horn because the COVID-19 pandemic has made it much more difficult to pay my bills.
This purchase includes the following:
--Tenor Saxophone --Two necks (one gold lacquer, one silver lacquer) --Its original case which includes backpack straps and a rain cover --A stock mouthpiece (Bundy 3, no ligature)
If you would like to hear this horn be played, please do not hesitate to reach out.
