Welcome to Musicdungeon. This is the Vintage Otari MX-5050-BQ-II Reel To Reel 4 Track Recorder. The BQ-II is legendary on the audiophile scene. This Otari features 4 XLR ins/outs on the back and 1/4" ins on the front. Mic & line each have their own volume control and each track has its own VU meter. Add to that Tape speed and pitch control and you have a real workhorse. This unit has been power tested as well as tested for mechanical performance. Was not sound-tested but we acquired this from a working studio where this Otari was in use and well cared for as you can see in the pics. This 5050 auction includes the manual w/schematics, empty reels, lubricant, spare tension guides, and reel adjusting disc. Whether you are listening to reels, recording, or transferring from reels, this is where you need to be.
