Violin labeled “Contavalli Primo di Luigi”, made in 1974. Comes with a Brazilwood bow and American Case Company oblong case. The violin is in good condition, and plays well. While the label on the inside signifies a well-known Italian maker, I have not had the instrument authenticated and would say the instrument was probably relabeled at some point. Having said that, it is a great instrument that one would find for sale in a violin shop (instrument alone) for $3,000-$4,000. I am not a violin shop, and at this point have no need for an extra instrument. If you are looking for a package containing an advanced level instrument that is ready to go with bow and case, this is a great buy.
