Very good condition Alvarez Yairi DY-57 (called "the poor man's D-18"). Made by (sadly now passed) Japanese master luthier Kazuo Yairi in his mountaintop workshop in 1976. With an extremely high reputation, his guitars have been played by the Grateful Dead (who had signature models), Paul McCartney, Santana, Joe Bonamassa, and so forth.

Beautiful sounding dreadnaught, made in Japan in 1976.
Spruce top, mahogany back and sides, abalone inlay, solid Grover tuners, checkerboard purfling.

Nicely aged . . . great lows, balanced highs. A few minor cosmetic scuffs in the finish on the top and some fret wear on the E and B strings. No buzz, no cracks (aside from one hairline crack in the finish below the pickguard that's tough to notice) and a ding in the lower bout.

Immense sounding guitar, and quite a steal. I have too many guitars here, so I'm forced to sell it to thin the herd. Includes a vintage hardshell case.
