Vintage 1970 Leslie Model 18 rotating speaker cabinet. Serial number 16907, in excellent original condition. Very few scuffs or dings. The tolex front is like new. One of very few Leslie cabinets built for guitars. Works perfectly and sounds absolutely amazing!
"Identical to the example famously used by Stevie Ray Vaughan on his song “Cold Shot,” the Leslie 18 consists of a single driver unit, specifically a 12-inch guitar speaker, with a 15-inch Styrofoam cylindrical rotor in front of it. The Styrofoam cylinder is electrically rotated to create various effects, like chorus and vibrato, based on the Doppler effect. The effect can be be changed, via a two-button footswitch, between slow and fast speeds, or switched off altogether."
I don't have the original footswitch, so this is an (obviously) homemade one thatonly turns it on or off. There are ones available that switch between slow and fast as well as on/off. I prefer the fast cycle anyway, so I never got one.
