1970s Cortez Pro Singlecut Standard style in great condition
I know some Cortez guitars are Japanese and some are Korean—-I am unsure which camp this one falls in. It is loaded with MIJ Gotoh humbuckers.
Plays and sounds great. Tuners upgraded to Schiller. There are a couple of additional screws on the top near the bridge. I don’t know if that means the bridge was re-positioned, which doesn’t make a lot of sense because that placement would be very unusual, or if it was just an artifact of the manufacturing of the guitar. Thought I would still classify the guitar as a solid body, it does have chambering as a lot of the LP copies of the 70s tend to, especially earlier in the decade.
