I'm the second owner since mid 1990's. Previous owner had accidently removed foil label. Some cracks in finish near bridge, typical for Ovations due to the style of bracing. There are no cracks in wood. Has a few nicks in top, but nothing bad for a 40 year old guitar. I have photos of every defect. The sound acoustically and electronically is great. I don't gig with this guitar anymore because of the age, I'm fearful it will get stolen or damaged. I would like someone else to have the opportunity to own and play this beautiful guitar. Photos show serial number, inside of body etc. You can see I removed some strings to take internal photos. I have installed new strings. Electronics work flawlessly. Comes with original hard-shell case. No reasonable offer refused. Thanks!

The Ovation Country Artist is one of the more unique Ovation models. Basically a nylon string for steel string finger pickers. It has a traditional flat classical fingerboard, but the nut width is a slim 1-7/8 inch compared to the typical 2 inch width of a classical. The neck joins the body at the 14th fret, same as Ovation steel sting guitars. As part of the Artist series, this guitar features the slightly shallower Artist depth bowl. The tuners are chrome plated Schaller Classicals. The model shown is the acoustic/electric 1624 version, which has the first generation Ovation FET preamp and single volume control knob on the upper bout.
