1979 Floyd Rose Tremolo Handmade Prototype unit.
This is one of the first wave Floyd Roses ever. Hand made and shows multiple tooling markings here and there. has some notching to a saddle which is not seen on any of the later production models. I have a fine tuner prototype as well and the lock down screws all match and check out.
unit works as it should no hidden suprises like a broken "T" block or anything. it is in very good shape.
Only a few of these have ever been spotted that look similar to this model. This is in great shape and as close as you will ever get to playing EVHs Floyd rose.
Floyd Rose handed out this unit to numerous artists in late 1970s and early 80s. of which there are all rare and all sorta have their own look about them as they were modified in shop for each application.
Can not confirm who it was that got this one but it was installed on a guitar that had gotten a broken headstock and then they simply shelved it.
This includes:
Trem Unit Bar (installed, you can't take it off) Anchor Posts (original version) Claw and springs (original versions)
