What Conn said about the Connquest when it first came out in 1957:
"...an instrument with many of the features that appear only in the finest professional and artist models. New clickless crystal valves with silent nylon guide plate and professional bore afford the finest acoustical qualities and accurate intonation. Length 21", weight 2 lbs 10 oz., bell diameter 4 5/8". Outfit includes the beautiful New Connquest case, music lyre and mouthpiece.
Highly polished brass, beautifully nickel trimmed, protected by longer lasting, acid resistant LUSTRE-CONN finish.
About this Connquest#692869:
This Connquest #862869 was disassembled then hydrostatically cleaned. It was re-assembled using all new springs, felts and water key pads. The valves were properly adjusted. As you can see from the last photo all the slides are free and the valve plating looks great. A good healthy pop as each valve side is pulled attests to it's good valve compression. The horn has no dents and just a few minor dings and scratches here and there. The lacquer finish is about 98% intact.
Comes with the original Conn case shown in the photos and a mouthpiece.
Keys: Bb
Bore: .438"
Bell: 4 5/8"
Non-reverse lead-tube
These professional trumpet players chose to play Conn horns: Louis Armstrong, Chet Baker, Bix Beiderbech, Bunny Berrigan, Herbert Ckarke, Roy Eldridge, Maynard Ferguson, Doc Severinsen and Woody Shaw.
